As far as I'm aware, like Flib said, the 3-cell pouch was more of a marine thing, the 5 cell pouch doesnt fit the 30 rounders, the mag bag is the only other way I can think of. Besides which, theyre a good piece of kit

You need to spend a fortune to get TM 20rnds :(

Besides, they are HiCaps, and we do not allow them on bigger games :o

No not a fortune I think.
Who is this "we" that does not allow HiCaps at bigger games? PBI and CiA may have ammo limits but high caps aren't banned.
Other organisers have banned them unless no alternative was available. See S&S MkV sten for example.

I would prefer that lo caps in the 20 rnd box magazine size were available and I haven't been brave enough to try shortening the 30 rnd size ones yet.

Just to quickly point out Wepar is from Croatia, so no hicaps must be their thing...

The short TM hicap only has a bb capacity of about 160rnds. That makes it barely a hicap in my book. Some of my KA MP40 mids will hold up to 130rnds.

yeah, sorry for a misunderstanding, I should have mentioned that I am not an UK resident.

Ok here is my Thompson, I had to take picture with my mobile phone (so it is not as good as it should be).

-- attachment is not available --

PS. The second magazine is shiny because it is real steel one. It in excellent condition, was still packed in original grease when I got it :)

Ramsay, is that a large pack you're wearing on the belt, or do my eyes deceive me?

Looking at the way it's attached... you're eyes must be deceiving you. But it does look big doesn't it!

Thank you to everyone for the encouragement and advice. The bag in the picture is, i was told by the seller, an original thompson mag bag. The three mag holder was something that came with the gun when i bought it second hand. Would be very happy to be able to use the hicaps in a game for the sole reason it saves me having to pay out for mid or low caps, can't remember the last time i used more than 500 rounds in a day anyway :) .

A big thanks again, i really appreciate it and can't wait for my first WW2 game.

Kris.

I got one of these sets:

Combined with the one that comes with the gun = full mag bag for transport, and 1 space in use for changes.

Basic Stürmpioniere impression. Still needs some tools of the trade, but they're not cheap.

Nice to see jackboots on a Pioneer. They were still issued those even after the introduction of the low boot.
An E-tool might be handy unless you are going for the large spade with holder, in which case dont forget the little leather strap that secured the long handle to the shoulderboard to help stop it flapping about.
